Tech Support please PC Building help.

So I wanna build a new Desktop. Im open to AMD or Intel Builds. (Intel is better i know) 

Budget build around 600 - 700$ 

Current Rig
Wacom - Intuos 4 small
Dell XPS 1702X Laptop (Non 3D)
- Intel core 2nd Gen i7 - 2720QM 2.20GHz 
- 8GB Ram (max is 8GB )
- NVIDIA GeForce GT 555M 3gb Graphics card /Intel  HD Graphics 3000
- 17 inch LCD 
- 2HDD / Boot drive - WD Black edition 7200rpm 2.5 /Storage Drive WD 7200rpm  (Both 750GB)

Over all I would like an i7 system, but Will settle for i5/Amd equivilant. I am Fairly new to building, but have some experiance. Please help me.
